WHERE WE ARE
Liguria has the highest number of BANDIERA BLU beaches in Italy. Our closest beaches at CHIAVARI & LAVAGNA are less than a half hour drive and were both awarded with the BANDIERA BLU for their clean sands & sea.
Genoa airport is our nearest airport which is less than an hour's drive away and Ryanair, Alitalia and BA all fly into it. You can also fly into Pisa (1.5 hours) or Milan. (2.5hours)
Liguria is sandwiched between the South of France & Tuscany with Piemonte just behind us.
You will find Castagnola 64 nestled amongst the terraces of the Ligurian hills, 500 metres above sea level, between Genoa and La Spezia.
We are 8km from the A12 Autostrada....if you have a 4x4 vehicle you can drive right up to the house, otherwise you can safely park your car on the roadside & climb the stone step footpath through the vineyards up to the B&B...don't worry, we'll bring up your luggage!

THE STONE STEP FOOTPATH THROUGH THE VINEYARDS
The 176 stone steps can be hard work especially if you have 'bad' knees but everyone says it's well worth the pain for the pleasure on arrival
Although the footpath from the carpark to the Farmhouse is illuminated after dark and Noah dog will probably accompany you anyway.... it's a good idea to bring a torch
